Role Purpose

The Junior Functional Consultant supports the implementation and optimisation of ERP solutions by assisting in requirements gathering, system configuration, documentation, and client support.

This role is a learning pathway toward becoming a fully independent Functional Consultant within HFC.

• Position: Junior Functional Consultant
• Location: Mauritius - Onsite
• Type: Contract (long-term, subject to successful completion of probationary period and satisfactory performance)
• Training: 2 months of formal training during the first 6 months. Deliverables will be expected in parallel.
• Professional Development: Ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Support

• Assist in client discovery sessions
• Document business requirements
• Prepare process flow documentation
• Support solution scoping
• Maintain structured project notes

2. System Configuration

• Configure ERP modules under supervision
• Set up workflows and user roles
• Assist in report preparation
• Support data migration activities
• Validate system configurations

3. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Prepare test cases
• Conduct system testing
• Identify and report issues
• Support bug resolution follow-ups
• Ensure configuration accuracy

4. Client Support & Training

• Assist in user training sessions
• Prepare training materials
• Support post-go-live queries
• Document support issues
• Maintain client communication logs

5. Internal Contribution

• Maintain implementation documentation
• Follow internal delivery standards
• Support knowledge sharing sessions
• Participate in continuous learning
• Improve internal templates and processes

Performance Metrics

• Accuracy of documentation

Must Have Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Education

• Degree in Economics, Business Management, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum of First Class or Upper Second-Class (2:1) Honours degree
• Strong academic performance at secondary level (minimum grades A*, A, or B)
• Or equivalent demonstrable functional capability

Experience

• 0–2 years experience in:
• • Business analysis
  • ERP exposure (internships acceptable)
  • Structured documentation
  • Client-facing environments
  • Knowledge of financial statements
  • Exposure to business processes/industries (internships acceptable)
